Comment Fair Un Portaille Nether Sur Minecraft

Okay, imagine this. Me, totally noob at Minecraft (yeah, yeah, I know, late to the party), building what I thought was the most majestic house ever. Cobblestone, of course. Classic. I was so proud. Then, my friend, bless his nerdy heart, just casually strolls in and says, “Nice box. You gonna portal to the Nether anytime soon, or what?” The Nether? What was that even?
That’s how my obsession started. The Nether. The fiery, scary, resource-rich hellscape that's just a portal away. And that portal? Well, that’s what we’re diving into today. Get ready to bid farewell to your peaceful overworld, because we’re going to the Nether!
Gathering the Goods: Obsidian Edition
First things first, you can’t just wish a Nether portal into existence. You need obsidian. And lots of it. We're talking at least 10 blocks. So, how do we get this elusive dark rock? Water + Lava = Obsidian. Simple, right?
Must Read
Well, not quite. You need to make sure the water flows onto the lava, not the other way around. Otherwise, you end up with cobblestone. (Trust me, I've been there. So. Many. Times.)
Quick Tip: A diamond pickaxe is essential! Anything less, and you'll just be chipping away for all eternity. Don’t even bother with iron. (Okay, maybe bother, but it will take forever, and your pickaxe will probably break. Just saying.)

Pro Tip: Look for naturally generated obsidian near lava pools or underground lava lakes. Saves you a lot of hassle!
Shaping the Gate: Portal Construction 101
Alright, obsidian acquired! Now comes the fun part: building the portal itself. The standard Nether portal is a rectangle, 4 blocks wide and 5 blocks tall. So basically, two vertical columns of 5 obsidian blocks, connected at the top and bottom with 4 blocks each.

It doesn't need to be touching the ground! You can elevate your portal for that extra touch of dramatic flair. Seriously, go wild. Make it float. Build a cobblestone staircase leading up to it. It's your world, after all!
Important! The corners don't need to be filled in. They're just…there. A waste of obsidian, really. Unless you’re going for a super fancy, fully-encased portal look. In that case, knock yourself out.
Igniting the Inferno: Light My Fire
The moment of truth! You’ve got your obsidian frame, now it’s time to spark things up. You’ll need flint and steel. Flint is easy enough – just break some gravel until you get lucky. Steel requires an iron ingot. Combine those two, and bam! You’re ready to create some interdimensional chaos.

Right-click on any of the obsidian blocks within the frame with your flint and steel. If you’ve done everything correctly (and haven’t accidentally built a cobblestone monstrosity instead), the inside of the portal will shimmer with a swirling, purple vortex.
Side Note: That purple vortex? Don't stare at it too long. It's hypnotizing. You might find yourself accidentally walking into the Nether unprepared. (Yes, I’ve done that too.)

Stepping into the Unknown: Welcome to the Nether!
Ready to face the fiery depths? Just walk into the portal. There will be a short loading screen, and then…boom! You’re in the Nether! Prepare for fire, lava, weird pig people (they're called Piglins, and they're surprisingly obsessed with gold), and all sorts of other dangers.
Seriously, be prepared. Armor, weapons, food, maybe a fire resistance potion or two. The Nether is not a friendly place for beginners.
Final Thought: Building a Nether portal is one of the coolest things you can do in Minecraft. It opens up a whole new world of possibilities (and dangers!). So, grab your diamond pickaxe, find some lava, and get ready to explore the underworld! Just don't blame me if you get lost in a fortress filled with Blazes. Good luck!
